Welcome to The Fund to End Antisemitism, Extremism & Hate

Eighty years of efforts to educate the world about the dangers of antisemitism and violent extremism through the lens of the Holocaust were rendered irrelevant in an instant on October 7, 2023, the deadliest day for Jews since World War II. In its wake, antisemitic and violent extremist acts have surged to levels not seen since the fall of Nazi Germany.

The October 7 massacres – and the fact that they have been justified, excused, and even praised around the world – made clear that we must find new ways to confront and dismantle the normalization of antisemitism and violent extremism because they pose existential threats to Western civilization and all peace-loving people around the world.

We must find new ways to shatter and combat the normalization of antisemitism and violent extremism.

With the help of philanthropists Elliott Broidy and Dr. Thomas Kaplan, The Counter Extremism Project (CEP), founded in 2014 by former Ambassador to the UN for Management Reform, Mark Wallace, the late Senator, Joe Lieberman, and former U.S. Homeland Security Advisor, Fran Townsend, found such a way.

They purchased the house at 88 Legionów St. in Oswiecim, Poland, where Auschwitz’s infamous commandant, Rudolf Höss, and his family lived between 1940 and 1944. The number 88 was code for “Heil Hitler” because “H” is the eighth letter of the alphabet.

Höss orchestrated the industrial-scale slaughter of over one million Jews while playing loving husband and father in an ordinary, if not luxurious, home right next door to Gas Chamber No. 1 and Crematorium No. 1 at Auschwitz.

The goal in purchasing the house was to transform it from the epicenter of the “Final Solution” into a global bulwark against antisemitism, hate, extremism, terrorism and radicalization.

Ambassador Wallace put a mezuzah on the door as a symbol of this transformation and The Auschwitz Research Center on Hate, Extremism, and Radicalization – ARCHER at House 88 – was born.

WHY ARCHER AT HOUSE 88 IS NEEDED NOW

Do not let the words “Research Center” in our name “The Auschwitz Research Center on Hate, Extremism, and Radicalization” fool you. The research that will be done is to find the inciters of antisemitism, the recruiters to violence, the perpetrators of terrorism, and the networks that finance all that activity and shut them down using 21st Century tools.

It’s urgent that we do so because the world has reached the highest level of antisemitic violence since WWII.

WE NEED TO FIGHT HARD AND FAST
RIGHT NOW!

ARCHER AT HOUSE 88 WILL BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE TOOL.

It is different from all other organizations fighting
antisemitism and extremism in the world today because it accomplishes its goals by:

Using eGLYPH (robust hashing and digital fingerprint) technology to find extremist content on the surface and dark web:
Created by the founder of the field of Digital Forensics, Dr. Hany Farid, eGLYPH technology finds the digital fingerprint for all images, video and audio uploaded by antisemites, violent extremists, terrorists, and their organizations so they can be tagged and then traced to where they have spread. It adds data to a Global Terrorism and Extremism Database (GTED) which enables the platforms to monitor uploads to their platforms and take down such content. ARCHER at House 88 will add AI and multi-modal large language model technology to the eGLYPH technology and make the enhanced technology and the continuously updated GTED available to social media platforms, policy makers, the military, and law enforcement around the world.

Monitoring  Violent Extremism Online and Reporting Findings to Policymakers, Law enforcement, Organizations and Individuals:
Extremist Activity Monitoring: A team of experts reviews the surface and dark web for imminent extremist attacks and reports them to law enforcement. It also reviews all news about extremist attacks that have taken place around the world and reports daily on such incidents in a newsletter called Eye on Extremism.

Extreme Content Monitoring: Once the terrorist or extremist organizations or extremist individuals who typically upload propaganda, recruitment, incitement to violence and how-to videos are discovered through the eGLYPH technology and the work of the extremism content monitoring team, CEP/ARCHER at House 88 works diligently to get platforms to remove the offending items. The team’s findings are reported weekly in a newsletter called Extremism Content Online.

Advising on and Advocating for new laws that Hold Platforms Responsible for allowing or keeping Extremist Content that Incites Violence:
Learn More: See recent successful enactment of the Online Safety Act in the UK due in part to CEP/Archer at House 88 advice. Regulations issued pursuant to the new law require platforms to use “hash matching” technology to find terrorist content and take it down!

Disrupting Financial Networks that Fund terrorism by reporting
companies or charities lead by extremists who support terrorist
organizations to regulatory authorities:
Learn More: ARCHER at House 88 uses The “Al Capone Approach” to disrupt antisemitic, extremist, and terrorist financing by exposing and reporting such financiers to national and global banking, finance, and treasury authorities, and law enforcement for violations relating to: tax, safety, banking, fraud, organized crime, and other finance related activities, irregularities, and conspiracies.

Creating 25 Prestigious Research Fellowships in the U.S. and Europe for PhD Candidates and Academics:
Learn More: These fellows will research why pro-Israel instructors on university campuses are not promoted or receive tenure, anti-Israel protests shouting for the destruction of Israel are allowed, curriculums fail to teach the pro-Israel point of view in the study of Middle East history and contain discredited antisemitic tropes, university anti-discrimination policies are not applied fairly when it comes to anti-Israel protests, in violation of U.S. and other laws, and the impact of antisemitism on contemporary Jewish life and western civilization.

Building a modern, architecturally significant, state-of-the art
facility on the grounds of House 88 designed by world renowned
architect Daniel Liebskind:
The building will house the data collection, research, education, and advocacy activities of the ARCHER at House 88 initiative and provide lectures and unique cultural experiences including music and art to the public that allow reflection and inspire action.

Financing and fund-raising for these historic efforts is the responsibility of The Fund to End Antisemitism, Extremism, and Hate

WHAT DOES THE ARCHER AT HOUSE 88 INITIATIVE
NEED TO ACCOMPLISH ITS AMBITIOUS GOALS?
FUNDS.

ARCHER at House 88’s work is made possible by the generous support of donors like you who want to make a tangible difference in ending antisemitism.

Antisemitism is on the rise around the world. It is propagated by state actors like the Iranian regime, which seeks Israel’s destruction; by jihadist networks such as the Muslim Brotherhood; and by the far left and far right in the West, who are obsessed with demonizing Israel and accuse Jews of controlling governments, the media, and global finance. This relentless campaign of hatred fuels bigotry, disinformation, and, ultimately, violence.

That is where ARCHER at House 88 comes in. Its purpose is to expose and go after extremist forces. ARCHER identifies, maps, and dismantles extremist forces through rigorous research, strategic acumen, and coordinated action. Confronting these vast ecosystems of hate requires resources. Your support directly empowers efforts to track, reveal, and disrupt these networks and their finances wherever they take root. Together, we can take the fight to extremism.
