MEET Eric Herschmann

Eric D. Herschmann is an accomplished attorney, corporate executive, and former senior advisor to the President of the United States, widely recognized for his prominent legal work and involvement in major political events.

He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan, where he served from 1987 to 1993 and eventually rose to the position of Senior Litigation Counsel. Over the years, Herschmann built a distinguished career in private practice as a longtime partner at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP, specializing in commercial litigation, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense. Notably, he represented President Donald Trump during the Mueller investigation and the first Senate impeachment trial in 2020.

In the corporate world, Herschmann served as Vice Chairman, President, and Chief Operating Officer of Southern Union Company from 2008 to 2012. During his tenure, he played a key role in negotiating the company’s $10 billion sale to Energy Transfer Equity, a landmark transaction in the energy sector.

In August 2020, Herschmann joined the White House as a Senior Advisor to President Trump, where he was involved in navigating high-stakes legal and political issues during a pivotal moment in the administration.
